Our 655 Park Ambulatory Surgery Unit opened in November 1997 following two years of planning and construction. It is a state-of-the-art facility that has achieved our goal of building an environment that duplicates the safety of a hospital in the setting of a private office. The majority of plastic surgery procedures including facial and breast surgery of all types, abdominoplasty, and liposuction can be performed in this facility.

Our operating suite marks its 10 year anniversary with a perfect safety record after 4,477 surgical cases.

Accreditation

Our facility was built by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to standards that far exceed those specified by most ambulatory surgery accreditation organizations. In addition to meeting basic requirements of the building department and fire department, this facility meets or exceeds standards specified by OSHA, and the Joint Committee on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Our facility was accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF) in 2002 and recertified since then at the required intervals.
